Christine Shepard is a fine art photographer who is passionate about illuminating the beauty of our natural world through vibrant, inspiring imagery. Her raw creative talent, vibrantly optimistic attitude, formative years of experience working alongside leading marine scientists, and current entrepreneurial endeavors in virtual reality media production make her a sought-after professional. No matter the media or platform, Christine is dedicated to supporting environmental and marine conservation efforts. In just her first few years out of college, she has received international acclaim for her art including being named a finalist in two categories of BBC’s Wildlife Photographer of the Year, 4th place in the Animal Portrait Category of the International Ocean Art Photo Competition and “Highly Honored Winner” in Nature’s Best Photography, which included an exhibit at the Smithsonian Museum in D.C. Her work has been widely published including several scientific journal cover images, photo stories and interviews for Popular Science, National Geographic Online, The Marine Biologist, Professional Photographer Magazine, and Scientific American, and personal spotlight stories on the Discovery Channel and Oprah’s O Magazine.
